Why You Should Meet Your Photographer Before Your Session

Go with me here.

You have found a new photographer. And you hire them to do a family or newborn session. Most photographers do all of the communication over email, nowadays.

I prefer to have new clients come to the studio to meet me in person. I know this takes time out of both of our busy schedules. But go with me for a moment.

You are spending a lot of money for this session. (I recently did this). What if your personalities don’t vibe? You like their work online. So taking a little time out of your schedule to go meet them in person, chat about the session, see their work/products in person and make sure you are both on the same page will make you feel better about the whole session. If you feel that you match. Then book the session. If you don’t, don’t book. Easy. You just saved yourself a ton of money.

Plus, if you do this easy step, you are sure that the session is off to a great start. Everyone is on the same page. You will know all of their processes, you can ask all of your questions, etc. There will be no questions the day of.

So take 30 minutes out of your day to visit your could be photographer. It will save your a lot of pain in the long run.
