Uncertain Times – The Woodlands TX Family Photographer

How are you doing? Are you worried?

I used to be pretty even-keeled. But ever since going through infertility, my anxiety has grown over the years. And this week is really killing me. I usually really try to choose joy in everything I do, and not let things get to me. So to all of you who are worried and anxious during this time, I understand. We are all worried. I’m going to take this weekend to be with my family and enjoy them. But after that, I’m going to get to work. Because I love my job and I am sure that this will pass. Let’s be positive, love on our families, small businesses and while we are stuck at home, get some stuff done. Hang in there you guys. We can get through this together.

I wanted to let you guys know a few things about our studio and how COVID-19 will affect things.

I will be limiting my personal exposure to large social settings because I deal with a lot of families, kids and newborns as clients. So I feel like for my family’s safety and yours – I would like to stay at home for a bit until we know a little more.

This does not mean that I am canceling sessions. Sessions and mini sessions are still happening, as long as you are healthy. As always, if ANYONE in your family feels sick or has been exposed, I would politely ask that you reschedule your session. There is no penalty for this. This has always been a requirement at Kara Powell Photography.

I will be doing consultations by phone for awhile. Design and sales sessions will be done by teleconference. And at sessions, I will do my best to keep my social distance. Being a custom photographer, I take pride in my rigorous cleaning process before sessions (washing and sanitizing props used). We do not have numerous sessions to deal with back to back, so you don’t have to worry about the crowds.

For those of you participating the Spring Mini’s: The playhouse and all props will be sanitized between each session. Parents and children will be required to use hand sanitizer gel or wipes before and after their sessions. If you need to reschedule because of sickness in your family or possible exposure to COVID-19, please let us know ASAP and we will do our best to reschedule your session at a later date when everyone is healthy. If things happen to get worse in our area, we may choose to reschedule these sessions at a later date, however we will let you know as soon as possible and do everything within our power to accommodate all schedules.

I will continue to monitor the situation along with all of you. If things get worse in our state and we need to reschedule appointments, we will absolutely do so.

Thank you for understanding. And thank you for your continued support of small businesses through this very uncertain time.

I hope you continue to support your local businesses if you can. We always have gift certificates available as well for you to purchase a session later in the year.

This business is my only job and how I pay the bills. So of course, like so many, I am nervous how things will unfold in this time. But I know that things will come back. So Jenna and I will be working on all things business in the meantime. And we hope to see all of you once things return to normal.

We will all get through it together. Stay safe and healthy.
