Top Holiday Photography Gifts

As a photographer, a lot of clients and friends often ask us what we should get their friends and family (who love photography) what they for Christmas.

So we have put together a fun list of our favorites together.

If you are looking for camera accessories, we suggest a few of these. These two camera bags are amazing. This bag looks like a purse so you can take your camera anywhere. Or this insert I have had for years; and I love it. I can put it in a larger bag or in my purse. I love the magnetic closure.

Tripods are also a great gift. Manfrotto is always a great option if you want heavy duty tripod. If you want a phone tripod, I would suggest a Miggo Splat Pro. And someone has suggested the Octopod. It is a fun new phone tripod that will stick to anything with suction cups. It is super fun.

Every photographer needs memory cards. You can get them on sale every once in a while. I like to get them in various sizes. And I like to get carrying cases like this.

What better way to backup all of those beautiful images? Purchase your favorite photographer an external hard drive. Samsung just came out with a new version that is only $80.

Jenna loves her strap buddy. This is a gizmo that allows your camera to hang from your body in a better way. Check it out.

If you love photographs as much as I do – you probably have a ton hanging around. I love showing them off in all kinds of ways. One is to put them on a digital frame. Nixframe has a ton of options. I have the 15.6″ frame and I love it. My parents have a Skylight frame. I can send photos to them over email. It is so easy.

If you are looking for a camera for a friend or family member how about the #1 selling EOS dslr camera. Jenna and I both started on one of these. The Canon Rebel is right around $500 with a kit lens. I bought this camera for my son a few years ago. He loves it. If you would like a little better lens for your new Canon; especially for beginners, I suggest the 50m 1.8. It is a great way to start experimenting with lenses and seeing how better glass (lenses) can make a difference.

If you are looking for a mirrorless camera I have two suggestions. You guys know that we are camp Canon. So we love the Canon RP. If you prefer Nikon then check out the Nikon Z5. Both of these options are under $1000.
